Restomod falls part of a more extensive masterplan where the B23, Ronda del Dalt, is transformed from a highway into a lower intensity road, and a linear public space. The previous highway is then crossed with transversal sections, creating a dozen nodes along the 2,3 km stretch

Between a residential neighbourhood and B23 itself we find a hotel and a Ford dealer. The two seperated buildings leaves significant unused area with a potential of extending the residential tissue

The housing develops in between the existing buildings with an elevated plaza on top of the car point. In a previously unpopulated area due to noise and pollution, we now find a vibrant new neighborhood. The new city is not built on virgin soil or erased tissue, but as a new layer on the urban palimpsest. With more inviting- and clean industry and business, they can be integrated into the city centers and contribute to the synergies of mixed program, and avoid being concentrated in mono programmatic, uninhabitable outskirts.

As the transversal section deals with the preexisting topography, it now offers an intriguing ground floor experience with level changes, variation in sky exposure- and activated intermediate spaces. From a strictly vehicular infrastructure, a new street section can integrate other functions to the metropolitan ring road, like flood prevention and green connections
